Teeth in a Day
Spokane Valley, WA

Man at the dental chair checking his teeth with hand mirrorGum disease can be devastating to your oral health. If allowed to progress, it can lead to tooth loss. Although tooth loss can be a dismaying solution, at Serenity Dental, we offer multiple solutions to replace your teeth, including the Teeth in a Day treatment.

What is Teeth in a Day?

As the name indicates, Teeth in a Day is a treatment process that can restore your smile in a single day.

The Teeth in a Day treatment is designed to provide you with a full set of teeth with the help of four to six dental implants on each of the upper and lower jaw. Once your implants have healed and fused to your jawbone to create a sturdy foundation for the dental crowns, Dr. Welton will replace your temporary teeth with permanent ones.

This treatment process is one of the most beneficial alternatives to dentures or dental bridges and can be life-changing for people who have had dental difficulties throughout their lifetime.

Although gum disease does not require removal of all teeth in many cases, for people who do lose all their teeth to the disease, the Teeth in a Day treatment is a revolutionary process that can restore their chewing and smiling ability as well as their self-confidence.

What to Expect During a Teeth in a Day Surgery

At Serenity Dental, we will start your treatment procedure by first taking a high-def CT scan of your jawbone. This will help us understand the condition of your remaining teeth and the ideal location for implant placement.

A non-removable temporary appliance will be fabricated to place over your gums immediately after the implant surgery, which can offer you good function.

Typically, the Teeth in a Day treatment takes place in two stages.
In the first stage, we will anesthetize the patient and remove any remaining unhealthy teeth. Then we will place all the implants inside the jaw and attach the temporary appliance to the implants.

Once your implants have integrated to the jawbone, you will schedule an appointment with us again so that we can place the abutments on the implants and create impressions so that your permanent restorations can be fabricated or adjust your temporary dentures so that they can permanently attach to the implants.

Can Teeth in a Day Take Longer Than a Day?

The Teeth in a Day process involves both surgery and the restorative stage. Although you may be able to get your temporary restorations on the same day as the dental implant surgery, some people have low jaw density which prevents the surgery.

In this case, they will need to do bone grafting procedures like a socket graft, lateral ridge preservation graft, block bone graft or sinus lift procedure.

The patient may take anywhere between four to 12 months to sufficiently prepare their jawbone to receive the implant. Once your jawbone has regained its strength, we can proceed with the Teeth in a Day treatment.

Benefits of Teeth in a Day

There are several benefits of Teeth in a Day procedure:
•  The biggest advantage is that you do not need to spend any time without teeth.
•  Placement of implants can help prevent resorption of the jawbone and maintain jaw health.
•  Teeth in a Day can prevent sagging cheeks and puckered mouth and help you maintain the natural shape and structure of your face.
•  The temporary prosthetic appliance provides protection to the implants as they fuse to the jawbone.
•  You can regain the functions of your mouth and your confidence in the fastest way possible.

Is Teeth in a Day Right For Me?

Fortunately, implant is a good treatment option for any person who has a healthy mouth. Dental implants are the only approved surgical procedure that can preserve your natural jawbone.
